Set Alignment >Fill for a column, but still overlaps into next column...why?

I understood the Alignment > Fill command to be the one to use so the lengthly info in a column wouldn't show past the column border. It seems to work most of the time. But now I am editing a datasheet and it's set to Fill, but the info is spilling over into the next column (if there is no data in that next coumn's cell.)
    See the screenshot.

    Thanks for any help.

That is normal Excel behavior - I don't believe there is a way to prevent it from occuring short of putting something in the adjacent column, which could be as simple as a space.

You can set the format as Wrap Text. If the row height adjusts to accommodate then set it to a fixed height. You'll also have to set the Vertical Alignment to Top.
