Trying to keep track of the mileage on my car

    Hi Forum,

Every time I re-fuel my van I'm logging the mileage and trying to keep a running total of the miles traveled over a month

So, the first time i fuel the mileage is..34000
    second time the mileage is................35600
    third time the mileage is...................37000
    forth time the mileage is......................?
fifth time the mileage is ......................?
    six the mileage is................................?

running total of miles so far................3000 <---- could someone explain this formula please.

    Many Thanks

What you've shown looks to be 300 gallons for 3000 miles i.e. the 300 looks to be the petrol used????

    Looks like

    =MAX(mileage range)-MIN(mileage range)

    Nice one Jason, thanks

    That works a treat

    @ xladept, my formula =MAX(G36:G46)-MIN(G36:G46)

It takes the highest number entered and deducts the lowest
