OK, I have seen this in use at a workplace but couldn't analyze it to see how it was done. Basically, they had the top row of the columns as the heading. But it could turn into a drop down list and you could select unique values in the list which were present in that column, thus, hiding all the other rows which did not have that value in that column. You could then select another one as you pleased.
This was like a permanent filter, and in you could select for instance in my spreadsheet, on the heading cell - "BRANCH" there would be options All, 100, 200, 300... Same with the delivery date columns, would have all unique values like 23/9/12, 24/9/12,etc. Don't need a filter for the names, since they are all different. None of this data is sensitive, just fake data created for testing, its basically customer names, there prescription entry date, date of dispatch and date it is delivered on.#
I've tried going on "Data", and selecting "Filter", but that isn't the same. This one I need was permanent, and it was just like a normal drop down list that was always there.
Appreciate any help.
