Exclamation populate cell with specific selection after choosing selection in dropdown in another cell

Hi, I have several cells that have fairly long lists associated with them. to start with, onlyl the list in Cell A is available. When someone chooses a selection on that list, the correct list becomes available in Cell B and so on.

what I want, hwoever, is to have one of the items on the list in Cell B shows up IN Cell B after the choice is made in Cell A. right now, Cell A shows the text Select one as default until a choice is made and cell B is blank. And it remains blank even after the choice is made in Cell A until the user clicks on the sell, notices a drop down arrow and then selects something from the list that is now available.

To give you even more details, every list for the cells has as one of it's choices the words Select One.

Ideally, what I want is to have the user make a choice in Cell A, have the correct list become availabe in cell B (as it is doing now) and have the Select One option on that list show up in Cell B.

    how can I do that?

Oh, and this is Excel 2007

    AND

macros are probably going to be disabled for anyone I send the sheet to - so i'd like to avoid macros if at all possible.

You cannot have the value in your dependent lists switch without the use of Macros, sorry.

Okay, you want to store this code in the worksheet module that you are going to use it. So right click on the tab and "View Code" and paste this in

In my example (and thus in this code), the sheet name is Sheet2 and there are two levels of dependent dropdowns (in B4 and C4). You'll need to modify that also. Attached is the example.
