Basic lookup command?

Hi everyone,

Every hour I need to send out stats to my team members on their productivity, this is an overall leaderboard, however I also want to see the difference in their stats over that last hour.

The leaderboard changes every hour so the order of the names changes.

How do I lookup the names in the different columns, compare the numbers between then and show me the difference in the 'Tickets Handled last hour' K column?

Attached in example.

Many thank you's!

Hey Vince,

Thanks for that.

The values it produced don't seem to be correct? Says Ben handled 96 the last hour, whereas he improved by 53 (96 last hour, 149 current hour) ?

Total Tickets handled last hour
taryn 106 ben 149 96
david 105 louise 85 52
ben 96 maurice 113 81
maurice 81 ks 83 59
katie 62 ozlem 65 43
ks 59 rookaya 64 42
sheriden 55 david 123 105
louise 52 jouliann 58 40
emily 45 madelaine 58 44
madelaine 44 sheriden 68 55
ozlem 43 katie 74 62

Oh, you wanted the difference. I thought you just wanted the last hours #'s so you could SEE the difference, not calculate it... if that is the case, insert this into K4 and fill down:
Formula: copy to clipboard

Re: Basic lookup command?

Vince left out the "difference" part. try this...
=J4-VLOOKUP(I4,B4:$C$17,2,FALSE)
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

This is starting to get comical.

worked a charm, thank you!

I'm not sure if I'm to mark this thread as 'solved' and can't see any obvious place to do so - sorry! :S

@ maxashton

Welcome to the forum.

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. I'll do that for you now but please keep in mind for your future threads that Rule #9 requires you to do that yourself. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
Thanks.

Also, as a new member of the forum, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of those who helped.
