A tricky one (for me anyway)

Hello, need a tricky formula, I’m trying to make a one cell show a number from a range of cells only if it’s the correct number i.e. in a range of cells you would enter a number 1-10 if that number let’s say is 3 will show up in one particular cell, and if another number is entered will show up in another cell, of course there will be 10 cells one for each of the numbers to show up in, on top of that if a number lets say a number 5 is entered the corresponding cell will show it as a number 1 to say it has been entered once, and of course if that number is entered in another cell again that cell will say it’s been entered twice therefore showing the number 2 and so on, therefore adding up as it goes the number of times that particular number has been entered. Hoping you can understand what I am needing, many thanks John.

We would love to help you with your query, but first, before we can proceed, please see the forum rules about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly...

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

    HTH
    Regards, Jeff
