    Excel 2010: I need a formula for asking discount from my supplier

    Hi friends!
    I have received price list from my supplier in Germany, the price quoted in Euro, I have found some items prices are increased significantly so i would like to ask discount to cover my target price. please find below details i provided for find out the formula;

    A2= My Supplier price in Euro €13.93
    B2= My landed cost in BHD 7.370 (Bahrain dinar)
    C2= My target price to get from my supplier in Euro €8.80
    D2= My target landed cost in BHD 4.224
    E2= ??? (need formula to find out the discount percentage from A1 to C1 also the discount percentage should be tally with my target price in BHD 4.224)

    Please find attach the file for your easy reference.

    Can anyone provide me the formula?

    The formula in E2, formatted as percentage, be sure to add some decimal places:

    =1-(C2/A2)

    Ok. Thanks dear, I have got the percentage is 37%, but How do i calculate this percentage to get my target price in BHD 4.224?

    Your sheet has the following requirement listed:

    "So, I want to ask discount from my supplier to get my target price in euro (i.e. C3)"

    To accomplish that, you use the formula in post #2.

    Pls help me for my below issues,
    I have one customer he was paid $10000 for 2011 year and he was paid $15000 for 2012 year, can you please provide me the formula for find out the percentage of the paid for yhis customer.

    What do you mean? The formula given already can possibly be used with the cells holding those two values... have you played around with that? What result do you expect?
