We all started the same way.

And, right now you have not told us anything to even get us started.


I would suggest checking at your local library. After I retired I approached my local library and found out that the library director taught basic Excel. He taught the basics, and I taught more advanced stuff.

Another alternative is to search this site and others for the section to pay for consulting.

You will need to have an idea. What is your idea? What is your goal?

The key is to have an idea of what you are working/starting with.

What types of information do you want to enter into the worksheet?

Work it out on paper, then fill in cells and columns. Then move it around until it looks better.


After you have your idea, and have transformed it into a worksheet, and you still need some help - then come on back.

You can upload/attach a sample workbook (sensitive data scrubbed/removed/changed) that contains an example of your raw data on one worksheet, and on another worksheet your desired results.

The structure and data types of the sample workbook must exactly duplicate the real workbook. Include a clear and explicit explanation of your requirements.

To attach your workbook, scroll down and click on the Go Advanced button, then scroll down and click on the Manage Attachments button.

I would echo what has already been said, and add that most members here would be only too willing to HELP you with specific questions or problems.

However, this forum is here to help with problems, not to do the work for you. if you have at least started putting something together regarding whatever it is you want to achieve, then share that with us and we can help/guide you from there

Another point is that you should please read the forum rules, and please rename your thread to something more meaningful, that actually describes your problem. lots of contributors will look at a thread title, and if it is of interest to them, or falls within their area of expertese, they might only open those threads. also, searching for ""help"" will not turn up too many results that will benifit you, sorry.
