how to make a customers record as main sheet & individual sheet for each customer

I am very new to excel & don't know about macro & vba.I need to make a worksheet named MAIN SHEET,where I can enter my daily work & it will automatically transfer to the relative customer's name worksheet.MAIN SHEET is updating regularly,I also need autofilter on mainsheet so that i can filter the data after each month by different ways. Also I am having a problem that when I copy date from mainsheet to other,it changes into a numeric value.
    Can someone help me?

    Hi,

Are you sure you really need a sheet for each customer? The attached allows you to select a customer in the MainExtract sheet B6 drop down cell and automatically extract that customer's data.

In fact are you sure you need to do this anyway given that the autofilter on the Main sheet will achieve the same thing?

I have a lot of customers with previous balance so I have to make individual sheet for everyone.I use list function on main sheet for its dynamic property & copy data to relative sheet automatically, problem is that I have to filter data after each month with almost all coloumn headers but it can't happen with list function also date transfer to the relative sheet becomes a numeric value

    Hi,

Not exactly sure what you mean. I can see no reason why a previous balance can't be incorporated in your data as a starting record.

The functionality I gave you automatically filters all data to the Main Extract sheet. It was just an example. There's no reason why you can't also record a start and finish date and have the extract limit the extract to records between those dates.

In short I'm still not convinced you actually need individual sheets.

    Hi richard,
you're right infact I work in a company so I want to make all customers record like a register, the macro you made is working well but it can be done by autofilter as you said.
Can you make a macro for me just like in excel magic trick 923 on youtube.I want all my coloumn header date, name, item, color, qty, rate, amount in a vertical line with colors & the data go to mainsheet automatically.I have excel2003 that's why I can't make that macro.
