I need to delete extraneous text in cells of a .csv file using Excel 2007

I have a .csv file that has included names after email addresses and I need an easy way to get rid of the names. Example - [email protected] John Smith ([email protected])
I only want to retain the [email protected] and delete everything that comes after the first space. I am an Excel beginner so am not real comfortable with formulas!

An example workbook (Go Advanced> Manage Attachments) showing how your data is laid out in the crv would help.
If your data is in A1
    =MID(A1,1, Search(" ", A1))
Then copy and paste special> values to remove the formula
    Does that help?
