Having trouble tracking duration against temperature and date.

Hi guys, hopefully an easy issue.
Something I've been wanting to do is keep records of how long it is taking me to bike a fixed distance every day.
So I've been recording the time it takes to complete (MM:SS), the air temp at the end of my ride, and the date.

Now, I want to record this in Excel and display this information on a graph. (Or graphs if not possible on one)

    - Date on X-axis, Time and Temperature on Y-axis. (Separate lines for Temp and Time)

Sounds pretty simple, and maybe it is, but I haven't used Excel in a VERY long time (5 or 6 years).
What complicates matters even more is that the last version I used was either 2003 or Office XP. (I've got Office 2007 at the moment)

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    AUS_Doug

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Have you made a start on recording your information in an Excel sheet?

If you're wanting to create a graph from this, the important thing to remember is to keep your data table as straightforward and logical as possible. It sounds like you've only got two variables to record, so a simple two-column table with headers at the top would be sufficient.

Once you've knocked something up along those lines, if you could attach a sample then we can look at deciding which type of chart would best suit your data and how to go about setting it up.
