Jeff K.....new to the forum and hoping to improve my Excel skills....I have reason to filter large data bases and would like the ability to filter filtered data... How do I get Excel to see only the filtered data so as to run a second filter?

Excel 2007 => data => filter
choose the filter on e.g. column A.
after that choose the filter on e.g. column C.
in column C you only see the values (based on the filter of column A).
Notice my main language is not English.

That still leaves me with the problem of being able to filter column A a second time. Excel will still see all the original data.
Yes, that's because it is an filter.
If you remove the filter, you will see all data.
If you add the filter (and filter on an item) you only see the filtered items.
After choose the filter in column A, you could filter e.g. on column C.
i usually copy the filtered data to a new sheet and work from there. otherwise i tend to make mistakes like trying to paste things (pastes into all rows, not just filtered ones).
