Auto Insert Comment box

I have attached a simple example of how to do this with macros but if you are new to writing formulas then learning to write macros is a big step that may be difficult to do in a series of forum posts. The code is short, you can find it in the Sheet1 module of code (see this article for how to see the code).

I have to ask why you want this information in a comment box instead of simply in a cell. You can't easily do anything with data in a comment box. It's meant to be a way to provide supplemental explanations to a user and is not so good for organizing data.

It would also be very helpful for you to attach your file. To post a file:

1. Under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button.
2. In the next screen look above the reply box and click the paper click icon. You will get a pop-up screen.
3. In the pop-up, click Add then Select to select a file from your local drive
4. Upload it
5. Click Done to attach it.

It will be displayed underneath your post text. Alternatively as the last step you can click the Insert Inline button and a hyperlink to the file will be inserted directly into your post text in the spot where your cursor is set at the moment you click the button.
