There is a previous thread on this that I have studied but have failed to solve. It was suggested that cells formatted as lists will now allow new rows or columns. I don't think this is case but not sure how to tell? Other suggestions were merged cells or cells protected. Not sure if any of these are the case either.

Message says: "cannot shift objects off sheet".
One other problem is that I cannot paste images (such as my logo). When I try to do so it says: "Microsoft Office cannot paste data".
This is perfect. Problem solved! Simple way to reset sheet is to enter Ctrl 6.
Based on your last post in this thread, its apparent that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received and have solved your question, but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED". I will do it for you this time.
In future, to mark your thread as Solved, you can do the following -
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.
Incase your issue is not solved, you can undo it as follows -
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.
