What happens when I double click a cell in a pivot table

What happens when I double click a cell in a pivot table?

Or when I double click the grand total?

Typically, Excel will add a sheet to the current workbook and populate it with the source data details for the pivot table cell that was double-clicked.

    Does that help?

It will show the break-up of the relevant sub data points.

You will get the supporting data as a table in different sheet.

    Thanks,

Mm. I see. I was asking because a total count of the source was different than the total count of the new sheet. It turns out that was because I put a filter on the pivotTable.

    Thanks.
