Removing/keeping duplicate entries

Hello,

I am working with a table that is appended every day with new data. I would like to set up a macro that removes duplicate entries in column A (delete whole row) based on the age of the entry (remove oldest). The catch is I need the macro to ignore all "Departed" entries.

Images are hard to workout with and nobody has time to convert these images into a excel sheet.
So better if you upload a sample workbook with enough sample data in it with expected output mentioned.

My apologies, please find attached. As you can see the issue is twofold:

1) Updating entries that have a non-departed status
2) Keeping entries that are departed

Keep in mind that a ship might come back to port, hence there might be several "Departed" of the same vessel name. I want to keep all of these while still updating the non-departed entry.
