Pivot table date format issue when drop down run on VBA - Excel 2003

first, thanks for a great site, it has really helped me!

apologies if I am doing something wrong.... but I think I have checked and double checked!... but for the life of me I've tried to fix this all weekend and I'm all out of ideas!

I have a VBA routine which autofilters the available dates from the Data to ControlPivot Page. The list is the feed for a drop down box on the Dashboard. The idea is that when any given date is selected from the drop down box, it runs a VBA routine and amends the data on the dashboard

So manually, if I look at the options in the drop down list (Dashboard cell D2), I have 5 dates available in the drop down list, each in the format DD/MM/YYYY.

However, when I select a date from the drop down list, the VBA routine runs to amend the pivot tables in the background and the date converts in the drop down list to format DD/MM/YYYY. This means the pivot tables do not calculate correctly. Bizarrely, som eof the options in the individual pivot table field are shown as DD/MM/YYY and some as MM/DD/YYYY, even though the Data sheet is consistent in DD/MM.YYYY
