Rearranging Columns into rows or reading data from external source

    Hello

I have written a spreadsheet that adds materials together for an estimate. I have say 60 columns with all my materials and a summary of the materials at the top of the page filling two rows. The page is very wide and would not be legible on A1 paper.

I want to open a new sheet, copy the top two rows of the estimate sheet and then transpose my columns into rows and to put the totals next to each item.

If that is not possible, is it possible to send the top two rows to a .txt file so that I can manipulate using C#.

    Regards

    Daniel

Is it a repetitive or one-time thing? Did you try copying and paste special transpose?

Copy your 60 columns and 2 or 3 rows of data
In the new worksheet, at cell A1, Home -> Paste -> Paste Special...
At the bottom of the prompt, click Transpose and click OK
