    VERY DIFFICULT FORMATTING NEED HELP Inclination and Azimuth

    Hopefully I explain this as best I can.

    I need an excel sheet where I can input excelloromoter and magnetometer XYZ readings and get a direction from those readings.

    Example:

    If my Inclination is 6.41° and my Azimuth is 133.60° my readings will be as followed:

    AX=0.9920g
    AY=0.1113g
    AZ=0.0071g
    MX=0.3715 guass
    MY=0.1846 guass
    MZ=0.2137 guass

    The main reason I would like to be able to input the above readings and have them converted to INC and AZM is to verify accuracy on those readings. Each time I get a reading for my angle and direction I will get all XYZ readings as well, once in awhile my angle and direction readings will be questioned and I would like to double check using XYZ coordinates to verify my readings.

    Thanks in advance to ANYONE that can figure this one out and successfully format an excel sheet.

    Maybe this was to difficult. Can anyone direct me to a site another forum that might be able to help out with this?

    What exactly are you having trouble with? The two .pdf files give the mathematical formulas for inclination and azimuth. It seems like it should be as easy as entering the six quantities into cells, then put the formula for Gtotal into a 7th cell, then put those formulas into 8th and 9th cells. Or perhaps, where this is in the VBA/Macros forum, your question is about coding this kind of thing in VBA, which should be almost as easy.
