    Userform and Rowsource

    I'm new!

i have 10 employees using the same userform, but on different files, and have a table on one of the worksheets that contains employee names that gets updated all the time. Instead of updating each users employee table was wondering if I could create a master list and have that update everyone else's comboboxes?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Why not just create links between the table cells in the individual user files to a master table in the master workbook?

    Hi

Just open the master workbook and the dependent woorkbooks and in the dependent workbooks start entering an = sign into a cell, then alt tab to the master workbook, select the relevant table cell and hit enter.

You'll then have created a linked cell that will change whenever the master workbook changes.

got it. was hoping i could link the combobox to the master table because there's still some manual things i have to do with linking, such as dragging down and adjusting the table so there's no gaps, etc..

will leave this open if anyone else can help.

thanks Richard for the suggestions though

    Hi,

As long as you link the cells you only need to adjust the master table and all the dependent workbooks will work. Just use the table in the dependent workbooks to feed the comboboxes in the dependent workbooks. Easiest way is to apply a dynamic range name to the linked cells (in case the number of rows in the master table changes) and use that range name in the RowSource property of the dependent workbooks' comboboxes.
