Hello all,
I have been unable to change pivot fields using excel vba. Would anyone know how to clear fields and then add new ones?
I have been unable to find a way to change using vba.
Thanks

Why using vba for that?
Why not just drag and drop?

Well that's because people are lazy haha. My job is to help the higher ups do nothing and make the computer do all the work.
Also i haven't found anything to do it. So I'm also curious as I like challenges

I don't have a solution for that kind of work.
Maybe another forummember?
Yea, I have read through three vba advanced books that can do some powerful stuff.... yet nothing on dynamically changing pivot tables. I may just create multiple tables, but I figure their has to be a way right!?
The book Writing Excel Macros by Steven Roman, O'Reilly Press, may be helpful. I have a very old version, but an updated version may work for you. May be available as a on-line book as well. There is a chapter on vba macros for pivot tables.
