DLL error when opening VB editor

    Hi,

This seems like a big problem. When I open my excel file and go to the VBA editor there is a pop up telling me that there is a dll error. So, I can't access none of my code or run any of them.

In the tools menu and references it says : "MISSING : Microsoft PowerPoint 14.0 Object Library". When I unchech this box and close the menu, it checks itself back.

Help me, I'm freaking out here.

Edit : Strangely, I have Microsoft PowerPoint 12.0 Object Library also in my references list.

    Hello SIMBAtheCAT,

PowerPoint 12.0 is part of Office 2007 while PowerPoint 14.0 is part of Office 2010.

If you post a copy of the workbook it will be easier to correct the code problem.
    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross

Re: DLL error when opening VB editor

    It's fine. I fixed it.

Someone with Excel 2010 must have made modifications. Here how I corrected the situation : Disable the macros, save, close then re-open; Go to VB editor, go to Tools, go to References, uncheck the missing one then save, close and re-open. At this point, if you enable your macros again it should work.

For myself, after doing the previous steps, I went back to the references and check the "Microsoft Office PowerPoint 12.0 Object Library" instead of the 14.0 that was previously missing and everything is working perfectly.
