Question email triggers from dates in excel

I need to know the formula and/or codes to create a trigger on my excel worksheets to send email when an item needs follow-up. Can anyone help me with this task. The workbook was created on 97-2003 but the outlook program I believe is a later version. I am not sure if that matters but thought I would mention it. Thank you.

I actually would love it if someone could help me create the macro so that I can create the email triggers. I am new with this company and have been asked to help them achieve this but I really have never programmed anything like this before nor have I created a Macros. I can understand simple programming and once I understand what I am looking at I can create but right now I am at a loss. I am enclosing a copy sample of the spreadsheet I need the Macros attached to (I will need to know how to create/run macros with my spreadsheet. What I need is an email triggered to the sales rep based on the follow-up date. The email should include the quote number and customer name. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

Instead of telling us how to program it, maybe you should state the problem and your expected results.

What are the parameters of the dates? 30 days prior or overdue? past a certain date?

Do you want consolidated emails? Or one email for every instance?

Re: email triggers from dates in excel

From my understanding the people I work for would like an email sent to the sales rep on a specific date (that is filled in a column labeled Follow-up) the dates vary that and unfortunately they have not been filling that column out consistently. The log is a quote log in which sales rep provides a quote to a customer and then is supposed to follow-up with them. I guess if it needs to be a set value then I would say every 30 days. I am sorry I am not sure if I answered the question. The email would need to contain the customer name and quote number and would only have to be sent one time to the sales rep unless the rep provides a later date. Thank you for your help.

You should be able to use this code for your workbook. Assuming that you have the emails and everything in the same place otherwise it needs to be modified. Also I did not know how you wanted the email phrased so you may want to look it over

Re: email triggers from dates in excel

    Hi All,

Greetings and I'am a new member to this forum.

I require to trigger auto emails from the excel macro to a specified email id based on the date field. I require 3 email alerts to be generated based on the date. If the today's date is less than 90 days of the date field, less than 60 days of the date field, less than 30 days of the date field and one more for the overdue (greater than the / equal to the date field). I wish to trigger one email for each condition to specified email ids (in To / CC / BCC) summarising the other data from the row. For eg, if Today's date is less than 90 days of the visa expiry date, the other data in that column to be selected in the email body. Once, all the rows of the sheet are checked, the email is to be triggered.

Please guide me in achieving the same. I use excel 2007 and would like the code to work on other higher versions of excel as well. I have attached the excel sheet with the required fields for your reference.

    Thanks & Regards,
