Hello,
I tried very hard to fix this including attempting some VBA madness.
Basically, from left to right is High to Low cascade. I want the user to be able to select up to 5 drop downs, each one cutting the list to choose from down.
1) So in Column A, they may choose "GU" in the drop down list
2) In the next box, I only want it to show a UNIQUE list of values to the right of that column (offsets, right?)
3) In the next box, I only want it to show UNIQUE values from selections from 1 and 2
4) and so on
Here are some attempts I've made:
1) http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal13.html - this tutorial was great except when you did the 2nd dependent filter, it would have duplicates... couldn't figure a way to group it
2) Having a 2nd set right beside the raw data that ran IF statements, if the filter matches then it'd populate the cell. Then I ran an Advanced Filter through VBA trigged by changes in the filter. The VBA would copy and paste the unique values in to another set, then the data validation would read the unique set. While this WORKS, it is VERY SLOW. I can't let the users use it that way
3) While this worked, it was also super slow. It involved using arrays like this:

Please help! I've been attempting to get a fast-solution to this for a few days now
