Question Adding a year to the date in multiple cells

Hi, I am not sure whether this is possible or not, but in a workbook I have a number of sheets (one each for every A Level subject we teach at school). For each subject there are different numbers of modules, and (usually, but not always) an exam session in the summer of each of the two years that the students are here. When I set up a new workbook for each subsequent year group (2014-2016) I want to repopulate all the exam session dates across all 20 sheets.

This is how it looks at the moment, based on the 2013-2015 cohort.

As there is a different layout on each of the pages, I can't simply say that all C3s become 2015 and all D3s become 2016, because on a different sheet that might not be the case. I wonder if all the first year sessions could be called one thing, say sessionOne, and then all the second year sessions be called sessionTwo, and then go through the sheets and set all instances of sessionOne as June 2015, and all instances of sessionTwo as June 2016, but I don't know if it's possible to name them as such?

Any advice would be gratefully received - or of course, tell me it's not possible and I'll crack on with the task of updating them manually. Thanks in advance, Chris

Re: Adding a year to the date in multiple cells

is the date section text or a real date and formatted to show jun-15 ?

if its text , you can do a find and replace and so you could find -15 and replace with -16
and then replace -14 with -15 - do it that order otherwise you will have all -15 and not be able to replace the correct versions

OR if they are real dates - than put 365 into a cell - select the cell and copy - now select the rows with dates , paste special and use ADD - it will add 365 days to the date - effectively adding a year
and then you would need to reformat the cells back to show dates

Since you probably need to do it every year.

make a new sheet with all the data.

Refer in your sheets to the data in the new sheet.

Then you only have to update them once.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.
