Changing Cell Colours Based on Conditions

Here is what I have done/learned so far:

On a Summary worksheet, I obtain the same cell information from multiple work sheets in a column. In that same summary worksheet, I have cells, that if I change the value in the cell, the values in the column (the column containing different data from the other spreadsheets) will change. If the values are between two numbers, I would like to change the cell colour. I have read about conditional formatting, but once that is done, the cell colour won't change again or "update". Is there a way to make this happen without writing a macro? Or should I start learning how to do that? I hope my explanation makes sense.

I should add that I am using Excel 2007.

Welcome to this forum.
With conditional formatting, you need to define multiple conditions in order for your cells to change color back and forth.
1. You set a condition so the cell changes color if between 2 numbers.
2. you set another condition that will return to NO COLOR if the cell is outside those 2 numbers.
