Name Selection in a userform, To create a Signing In Sheet.

    Hi there,

I am creating a yearly rota that will produce a signing in sheet on a day and night basis. Im using a userform to pick the... Department, Operators name, Time In & Time Out.

The Problem I have is that the ComboBox in my UserForm for selecting the operators name shows every operator in the rota, where as I would like the Combobox in my user form to only show the operators that are on shift that day/night. To reduce the chance of selecting an operator that isnt even on shift that day.

I would also like it to subtract the names after the have been selected. to reduce the chance of entering the same name twice in the same sheet.

    This is my Rota

I'm new at this, I hope I've given enough information to explain what im wanting to atcheave.

    Can anyone help me please!!!

I hope I've given enough information to explain what I'm wanting to achieve.
It's going to be difficult to offer suggestions without a worksheet and some walk-throughs of how you operate the userform.

And could you tell us a little about the 'printout'? Does each dept get one. Are there multiple depts on a sheet? Is this just for one day, or multiple days? Multiple shifts?

While it may make sense to you, I don't deal with schedules and so, it's all kinda vague to me.

From the userform, you can select the department through a combo box same with the job tital for up to 28 staff, for one shift, the problem i have is the combo box that selects the operators name take everyones name from a list on the setup page.

Causing it to show people that are not on shift that specific day, i woul like to make a second list that would only show the names that are on shift that day, making it less likely to make a mistake, also as you select a name it be subtacted from the list so not to be entered twice by mistake.

There will only be one sheet printed per shift and multiple departments will all sign it.

We are a contract company so this will be used to total the hours each shift to be charged to the customer.

I hope this helps, if not please ask as many qustions as you like.

Thanks for your feed back ill try to add more detail to me posts from now on.

While I've worked out your userform, I did not flush out the change events with EVERY combobox.

I did, however, recreate a simplified userform for you to try.

    HTH.

It didn't work, the first combo box still contains everyone's name and not just the people on shift, then the second one was blank ???

I didn't understand the change you made t I am new to VBA and still trying to
