Input Box with a few uses

Hello all

I am trying to rush through a little project for my boss (as usual he wants it yesterday) and my limited knowledge is going slow as I have never worked with input boxes. So wondering if anyone can help with a little bit of VBA

Basically, I have a spreadsheet with 3 columns, Date, Username, Project Record Number

I am wanting an input box to allow a user to enter these 3 bits of information in then check to see if the Username already shows in the list. If it does then a message to say that, and if not, paste the information on the next line

Is this possible?

Does the attached help?
Personally I prefer to use standard functionality as much as possible hence I'm only using VBA to add the record. The data entry is directly in a dedicated area.


Incidentally would you add your location to your profile. It often helps us when we need to imply regional settings or date formats.

I was thinking it would be so much more complex. I REALLY have a lot to learn. Biggest thing I think is not to make things so complex

Hi,

Just noticed an improvement that could be made.

When a new record is added, the new name should be added to the list of names and the current cells cleared.
