Creating a workbook on a computer with a reference then running on another without?

Computers at work are fairly well locked down. Sooner or later I will pester the poor guys in IT to install "Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6)" on it (both versions are MS Office 10), but for now I am creating a workbook from home and including the datepicker.

Will the code for the datepicker follow the workbook and function on the work computers, or will it fail and error out?

    Thank-you, as Always,
    -Bruce

    Hi, Bruce,

any missing reference will break down the flow of the VBA Code, and you would have to get rid of the missing link in order to get the rest of the code to work. Maybe have a look at Alternative for DTPicker.

Thank-you; and this morning I had the opportunity to my dismay to verify that you are 100% correct. I have been looking into the alternatives as a contingency, and though I respect the hard work others have put in, my preference is to first try to beg, plead and beg some more for IT to upgrade a small subset of the computers. If that fails I probably will go with the simplest alternative, the three drop-down box method...

Much appreciate your verification of my worst suspicion, without experts like yourself I am just shooting in the dark.
