Export and save worksheets from a single workbook, into individual workbook using VBScript

    Hi All,

I'm very new to the world of programming and this is my first time trying my hands on programming due to work purposes. Due to certain reasons, I'm temporarily in charge of IT matters. Normal issues such as troubleshooting matters is fine, but to be doing computer programming(and joining forums) is a new thing for me.

As the title says for itself, I am being handed a mini-assignment of exporting and saving worksheets from a single excel workbook, into individual workbook. I've tried reading up on my own for around 1 week, but it is all too overwhelming for me.

I googled up a lot and most of the solutions given are in the form of VBA, and the way that my manager wants me to go about is by purely VBScripting.

So is there any Excel/VBScripting Gurus out there? You're help is really, really, really appreciated

    Hi oeldere,

Firstly before anything, I want to apologise for the terms I use as I'm not familiar with programming language.

If I'm not wrong, the link given is the VBA way right? As the codes are running inside of the specific excel workbook.

The one that I mentioned is to be saved in a notepad and change the extension to .vbs during saving. And the specific excel workbook should not have any additional codes inserted in it.

Or is it I am the one who is wrong? My head is really messed up right now.

    Hi oeldere(and open to all),

Sorry if my questions sound pretty straight forward as I really have no background in programming.

Then if that's the case, is there a way export and save worksheets from a single workbook, into individual workbook using solely VBScript, and not VBA?

Because I am instructed do it in VBScript way and not to insert any codes inside the excel workbook, as we receive huge files from clients on a daily basis that contains lots of worksheets in it, and we need to disperse it into individual workbook for file maintenance.
