I have a cell that contains come text from a formula. When I lock that cell, I'm unable to copy the text in that cell. I noticed that this problem occurred when I added a checkbox to my spreadsheet. Prior to there being a checkbox, I could lock the cell with the text and I had no problem copying the text in the locked cell.
Please tell me there is a simple way to fix this without unlocking that cell... and I want to keep my checkboxes...

This could be exactly what I was looking for, I just don't understand what you mean. So if the locked cell I want to be able to copy is A1, for example, what do I do? Where do I enter "x=Range("X27")". Would that be put in as a macro or when formatting the cell? I'm sorry this must be a really noob question...
That would be a macro. Have you any code to share? What do you need to do with that value?

I entered the code you gave me, exchanging Y32 for A2 and X27 for A1, but nothing happened. Basically I have a concatenate formula in cell A1, and I entered in cell A2 "=(A1)", which makes the text from A1 appear in A2. I want people to be able to copy the text in box A2 when that cell is locked, but so far I can't get excel to copy anything from a locked cell. In other locked spreadsheets, I am able to copy text from a locked cell, but on this spreadsheet, it doesn't work. I speculate it's because I have checkboxes on this sheet.
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.
Remember to desensitize the data.
Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.
