coordinates via mouse click

I've seen a thread where some one had a program in Excel that could convert mouse click coordinates in Paint to an Excel table of the x, y coordinates from Paint. I need to convert contour lines from a graphic in Paint by digitizing the curves. I do it manually now by writing down the coordinates Paint provides for the cursor location. I'm not sure how excel gets linked to Paint, but if some one knows how, please tell me.
