Percentage increase in 2 files calculation

Hello my name is Danny and I am a recent graduate trying to finish a report for an upcoming interview on Tuesday.

I have two files each have a table with the same formats dating 2012 and 2013.
How do I calculate the percentage increase of each cell from the two files?

    ie/ 2013.figure/2012.figure - 1

Thank you so much for your help and time.

    Hi Danny,

    Welcome to the forum

If they're equal then there is no difference hence no percentage increase - 0%??

    Thanks for the welcome!
I am sorry I meant to say the formats of the tables are identical but now the figures themselves.

I am calculating the increase rate by hand atm. Let's see who can get it done faster?!

Re: Percentage increase in 2 files calculation

I am assuming that the tables are identical but the numbers vary.

So the Question is if the Tables are on the same sheet or different sheets.

And Where you want your results.

I am going to assume on a third sheet.

I will populate to sheets with random data and compare them on a third sheet.

I will put a formula in Cell B2 and copy it to the full data range on sheet3 3 which will be B2:K13
