Display Message in Cell using vba

Simple, I have a drop down in the B Colum if someone selects a value from this without selecting a value from the Colum A the number “0” shows up in Colum C (except for alphanumeric values) I want to display "no code" just above where the "0" shows up using VB because this cell is editable I don't want to use the excel functions.

I have some code in this sheet already.

Even if you write a macro, it need to be activated. For this are you providing a button or something?

If not, then you can use conditional formating. If cell in column C is "0" then the cell above it will turn red... something like this.
