Macro-Compare column headers across 2 Workbooks and copy the data in to the Master file

    Hi,

I'm new to creating Macros and want your help in resolving a problem that I've been facing.

    Aim:
To copy values/data in columns from 'Raw' file and append it to the 'Master' file ( that is without deleting the existing data)

    I have:
Raw file with, say, current month's data with A-H columns
Master file with YTD (year-to-date) data. That is data since Jan with A-F columns

    I want to:
Compare column headers of Raw file with those of Master file and copy only those column values whose header matches to that of the Master file

The Raw file may have more columns than in Master file. Master file columns are fixed though column A:Master may not be same as column A:Raw file.

In addition to this, the Master file has some 'calculated columns'. Is there a way to populate these columns automatically after the data is pulled from Raw file?

I hope I'm clear with the requirement. I would really appreciate any help in this. I know a simple copy-paste and dragging formulae for 'calculated columns' would suffice, but I need this for a specific purpose.

    Thanks in advance!

Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.
