Hello!
I am a complete newbie to macros, but searching through these forums has helped tremendously. I'm using the macro from this thread (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-prog...ot-tables.html), but in my data set, the data validation is being used to update a pivot on the same tab and I only need it to update that one pivot. The existing macro seems to take upwards of 2 minutes to calculate fields.

The end goal of what I'm trying to accomplish is to select a value from a data validation list, and have the pivot table below it update using the selected value as the filter without having to hit refresh. The dropdown selection affects an array in the data set that is being used by the pivot table - which might be why it's taking so long, here is the array - if needed I can attach a full example.

Is there a way to automate the filter reset without a macro, and if not, is there a macro that will run quickly?
