Round all populated cells to hundreths

    Greetings all,

I was wondering if anyone knew of a macro to select all populated cells in a workbook, and round all decimal places to the hundreths position. I am new to macro writing, so I am fumbling in the dark a bit here. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

You could manually do it fairly quickly

    Click cell A1

While holding Control + Shift, press the End key

While still holding Control + Shift, press the F key

Click the Number tab and select Number from the list. It should default to 2 Decimal places. Click Ok. Done!
You should hit F5, because chances are I've edited this post at least 5 times.

If you really prefer a macro, simply record yourself performing those steps, and use that macro.

If it were a single use, I would agree. The problem is, we work with extensive data sets with different workbook sizes. The idea would be to make a macro to be able to select all populated cells and round, then make a button to span across all workbooks with the Quick Access Toolbar function.

    Speshul,

I am running into a syntax error when I attempt to record the macro manually. Unfortunately, I am a complete newbie with the macro functions of Excel. I am grateful for the help, and thanks for your patience.

Do you want the values to actualy be rounded or do you want the number format to show two decimal places, although the underlying value is more accurate.

If you want the format changed, just select all the cells and Format as Number with 2 decimal places.
If you want the actual values to be changed
