Conditional Autofill until a Specific Phrase is Found

I want to be able to have a template that my team can apply to a data export anytime we receive one from this specific database.

The problem is, the number of entries varies and, after completion of those data entries, the exporting database leaves the next 5 rows blanks before including the header for the next group of data entries which correspond to different values.

In other words: I need to set up a macro (or function, whichever is appropriate) that can "read" another sheet's column (we'll say the 1st column), see if there's a data point there, and copy that value into the corresponding cell in the new sheet. Then, if the macro executed that task, it would read down to the next line and check again, repeating this until it reached a specific value (or, since there are 5 blank lines, a lack of a value works as well).

Once it hits this specific end-point, the macro/function stops.

    Is this possible?

    Mike,

An example is worth 1000 words!

Can you attach a workbook marked up to show what you want to achieve?

    Regards,

    David
