VB Script to Simulate Key Stroke to prevent Citrix Time Out

    Hi,

I use Citrix to login to remote desktop and after 10 mins of no activity (mouse / keyboard), the application (Citrix Receiver) closes the remote desktop application. After coming back from a break, I always have to re-login to Citrix which is very frustrating.

I would therefore request someone to provide a VB script which simulates key strokes / mouse movement. Please note that the script should be running even after I lock my local desktop. Also let me know in which environment will I need to run the script (local desktop / remote desktop)

    Thanks!

Would any keystroke work? In other words if Excel is open and every 5 minutes something is entered in a cell will this work or do you need to do something more?

try this macro... it just keeps moving your mouse every five seconds. You would just open the workbook before you get up and close it when you come back to your desk. You can adjust the time for example every 5 min if you want.

Re: VB Script to Simulate Key Stroke to prevent Citrix Time Out

    Hi abousetta,

Apologies for the delayed response. Unfortunately, I ran the spreadsheet in the citrix desktop and could see the mouse pointer move every 5 secs but then I locked my local system & went out on a break. After returning back, I unlocked my system and the citrix session had closed.

I suppose if I am locking my local system, then this won't work in citrix?

    Thanks for following up mate!

    Thank you
