Change numbering on column from topic to in sequence

Need help with this VBA file, whereby I need the first column to be serialized in number format (eg 1,2,3,4) instead of sub topic. If I change it likewise, the completion box at the top seems to be impacted when I check the individual boxes. Please assist.

Fill function can work in sequence, but as seen in my attachment, The status bar at the top which shows the completion rate does not calculate accurately when I change the numbering in order.

Completion rate shows error sign #### when I input the code. Will you be able to see the code and see where I need to edit. The entries in the first column (#) follow the convention “topic number followed by a period followed by the item number”, e.g. 1.1, 1.2, currently. VBA code uses the period to separate the topics from the items.

I tested on your sample. Not clear about what you mean by Completion Rate. Can you tell me what's not happening when run on the sample you provided? Are you using Column A or B. Your sample has Column B.

Sry, I meant cell G2 which is supposed to show the completion rate whenever I check each box on the checklist. Column B is the on which is supposed to be serialized in order from 1-80.

I'm confused. I didn't know you had event code in there. So when you double click on Column G then you want to remove the sub-topics for A?

Ok when I check the checkboxes from column G7 to G78, Cell G2 will show how many percent I've left to completion if I had not ticked any cells within the range.
Cell G6 and cell G68 is a sub topic checkbox. If I check it once all the checkboxes in that topic will be checked.
The issue which I faced is when I don't input any values in cell B6 and B68 (empty) and start keying in from cell B7 (1,2,3,4,5-70etc) the percentage rate in cell G2 is showing an error.
