I have been getting a runtime error 1004 off and on. The file is a shared file on a business server running server 2008R2. I get the following error.

What could cause this error?
It doesn't happen very often so I am a little confused.

Sorry but that didn't seem to help. I guess I wasn't clear enough. We share this workbook with at least 6 people all at once using "Share workbook". We all have it open at once. for some reason once and a while it locks the application with a specific user with no apparent reason. Usually if we all close out then reopen it is alright. What does run-time error 1004 actually mean?
