Changing a formula from a list

I have a question on the best approach to what I would like to do.
I have a list created using Data Validation and would like to change the percentage based on what is chosen in the list. The formula to generate the percentage is =(S26/(AY26+0.1)) The S26 would be the constant and the AY26 value would change depending on what is selected from the list.
I guess there could be a very long formula for this, but I was wondering if VB would be a better approach? I guess I’m getting a brain cramp on this.

I'm afraid I don't understand. Is your data validation selection in AY26, where a number is selected? Seems like your formula would work as is.
