Command Buttons Form Control or ActiveX

I am trying to move away from ActiveX command buttons because of the Microsoft update issues.
I am deleting Activex command buttons on my worksheets and replacing with form buttons which will now be assigned to a macro.
The macro will then call a userform.

My question is in regards to the command buttons that are within a userform. Are these activex or form command buttons.
I have struggled trying to understand the information I have found online so far.

    Hello Epscan,

The UserForm itself is an ActiveX control that hosts other ActiveX controls. You can not place a Forms button on a VBA UserForm.
    Sincerely,

    Thanks for the reply.
I was afraid of that answer.

To bad we can't bill Microsoft for this mess. We have many sites that are using these forms. I am daily applying fix to to my different users(as they popup) and was hoping for a way to move away from activex buttons.
