userform that allows a window to draw in

    Hello,

I am creating a userform for engineering field notes. I would like to have one userform with a window that allows the user to sketch something then save the sketch. I am not sure if this is possible. Perhaps somehow open an instance of MS paint, or create buttons that allow access to excel shapes... Or maybe something else?

Is this at all possible, or should I start considering non-VBA solutions? If it is possible can you help me with the code?

The ability to draw monochrome lines and polylines of a consistent line weight is the only functionality that the user would need.

    Thanks for the help!

Do you all think this is even possible?

    Hi,

See the attached working 'Proof of Concept' file. It will take a while before all I want to do is implemented. This should demonstrate some of the capabilities.

Without work previously done by Stephen Bullen and Andy Pope, I wouldn't have known where to start. Thank you Stephen and Andy.

I will upload an update hopefully in a week or two.

FWIW, the attached file doesn't work on a Mac, which isn't surprising considering the poor implementation of Excel graphics on the Mac platform.
