I'm not clear on what you're trying to do.
How do you know what the searched company row is?
Or are you saying you want to have a drop down list of company names in Sheet1 that can be selected?
Maybe if you give an example of the output you're expecting.

all this column would be preferred. if i searched company name, vendor name, invoice # or pub. ord. #.
    so textbox would be better.

and sorry for not getting that so clear

    thank you.

    Still not entirely clear.
Where will you enter the search parameters? In the textbox about the Search button on Sheet1?
Are you going to put in some search identifier (like Company = ACC) or will you only put in the company name and expect the macro to determine what that value is?
What information do you want returned?
Where do you want to have the information put? In the textbox below the Search button on Sheet1?
What happens when you have more than 1 line of data to return?

All i want to enter the search parameter is textbox1 and click search button to show the results in listbox1 ..
the results will be shown in the listbox1 as the search parameter's entire row .. no matter how many lines this parameter have on sheet2 ..
