Good Afternoon all,
I have a simple question for the group. Excel Forum has gotten me to a point with VBA programming I never thought I would be able to reach. (And boy is it addictive) I love that so many are willing to share their knowledge and experience with those who are still learning.
I have reached a point on my current project where I find it would be beneficial to create a custom ribbon tab and groups for the project. I have found the Custom UI Editor for Microsoft Office and it seem to do exactly what I am looking for. My issue is with the syntax and customizing it meet the needs of the program. It looks like the programming is more html than that of VBA, so I thought I would ask if anyone has an example of the syntax for creating one custom tab and 5 custom groups, each group containing 3 options. Options could be icons, checkboxes, toggles etc. As I am now able to modify them to what is called for. If I could get the syntax with general place holders for the groups and items in them, I can get a better understanding of the programming involved and apply it to other projects as well. Additionally, if there is a way to hide the default office tabs leaving only the custom tab, could you point me in that direction as well?
Again, I want to express my appreciation to all of you who volunteer your time and commitment to assisting us who are still learning.
Scott
