    This will target only on the data placement

    In K3 Cell

    =IFERROR(SUM(INDEX(D:D,MATCH(TRIM(I3),A:A,0)):INDEX(D:D,LOOKUP(TRIM(J3),A:A,ROW(A:A)))),"-")

    Sixthsense makes a good point,

    I forgot to mention I had to reformat Column A, as they were text not numbers.

    I just typed 1 in an empty cell, right clicked=>copy, selected Column A right clicked=>PasteSpecial=>Multiply=>OK

    this turned the numbers into numbers.
