I have an XLSM application which has worked fine for over five years on all OSs from XP to Win8.
Written in msexcel 2007 and runs on the same.
Suddenly two days ago in routine operation the error "Object does not support property" started coming in.
Upon debug it seems that the interpreter "loses" certain objects including whole tabs and active-x buttons, so any reference to them results in the above error.
From the worksheet side, if I go into design mode and right click on the orphaned button and select view code, a new command button routine is generated as if that behavior is missing.
If property is selected the property of the worksheet pops up as if the button does not even exist.
To make matters more confusing, the code works ok on two out of six computers.
I have compared the Tools/references and they match between the working installations and the ones who fail!
ANY hints will be most appreciated, as this is a very necessary app.
A sample is attached.
It should fail since it makes a reference to a button to enable, on a sheet on app-open.
You will see the error and you click debug.
If it works it should ask for a password and you will see an input box.
