populate data from a list based on numbers input

Hello,

I am looking to create a sheet that when i scan a barcode into a cell it populates a cross referenced number in the next cell.

Basically i have items that have two types of identification tags. One that is a six digit number with a barcode (asset tag) and the other a four digit number used a a type of serial number.

I want to be able to scan the barcode and have the second number show up in the next cell after referincing the document that has a cross referance sheet.

This code belongs on the sheet you are entering the barcodes into.

Your post lacks a lot of details so your probably going to need to change a bit of this code. I put comments in telling you what you need to change.
