Question Excel 2010 - Userform - Vlookup, Alpha Numeric auto increment, send form to Outlook

    Hi There,

I thank you and apologise upfront for what may sound confusing, but I have tried to bullet point it and have attached the file which has comments & explanation of what I am trying to achieve.

Basically I am trying to create a workbook with a Userform where data is entered, the information sent to the Incident Details sheet, and open an Outlook email with a screen shot or field details which is already populated with static email addresses.

I’m trying to achieve the following:
    • Resizing or scaling of the form to suit user
    • Auto generated alpha-numeric sequential number based on system date (refer details below).
    • Vlookup for a number (SAC#) entered into txt_SAC_No, returning the value into the txt_SAC_Address textbox.
    • Timestamp Recorded Date & Recorded Time (separate fields) after user enters their name
    • Capture the ID of the person using Excel and storing that in the spreadsheet (Incident Details)
    • Automatically generating a Outlook email activated by the clicking of a button:

Adding a screen capture of the completed form OR the fields of the form into the body of MS Outlook – with Subject being auto populated with the Security Incident# (eg.) Inc201502-001 - plus the details of the Incident Category.

The Outlook email will have static email recipients in the To & CC fields … activated by clicking on the “Email Incident & Close Form” button (actually closing the file after being saved)

If the subject field could be the Security Incident number and the Incident Category … It would be fantastic

    • Storing the entered fields in the Incident Details spreadsheet.

I may be asking a lot.

I have been struggling with this myself for the last 5 days (and very late nights) ...

I have researched the Web for the answers, however, it’s been near hit and miss with the result I am more confused than ever.

    The problem is that,
    1. I am not very good at VBA as I rarely use VBA, so it’s difficult to ‘grasp’ confidence and understanding.
    2. that the codes I managed to find, weren’t that close to what I need, and each code from different people have a different flavor/thought process, so trying to ‘tailor’ them to my needs is very hard for me … to the point now where I’m nearing desperation after total frustration LOL …

I sincerely would appreciate any assistance to straighten me out Unfortunately I need to be able to offer something in the next few days ..
